9 February, 2020 PEOPLE, planes, trains and automobiles (and owls)
This picture is from earlier today in Belmont, NC with my timeless friends Skye, Dani and Betsy. We all met DECADES ago but today was our first reunion in many years. I hope our next one is soon!
I have crammed a lot, lot, lot into the past seven days, most of it in the past 48 hours. So here are a few pics then I go to bed – possibly more tomorrow but possibly not until next week.
Yesterday – it seems incredible – eight of us drove up to DC in one car (thanks Andrew!) to see the opening game of the XFL’s DC Defenders. It was ten tons of fun, and of course it was great that Washington won. Looking forward to another trip up there too! Here we were leaving:
Here’s the stadium entrance (really the exit from this perspective):
The field yesterday before the stadium began to fill up. Check out that sky:
Speaking of colors – a rainbow I saw Friday morning:
Trying to get to bed. But I got owls again Tuesday!:
Just before takeoff – the first of the two planes I flew on today – a Bombardier CRJ-900:
Picture of me that Betsy took just before departure:
I didn’t get a good automobile picture. But I did ride this train to the football game:
I’m going to bed! See you next week!
Thanks for an excellent weekend everybody who traveled with me to DC and NC and the people we met there and everybody else I crossed paths with this week. What a treat! Thank you!
All best,
Jay
What a great, beautiful weekend!
Thank you Jackie! It was fun, fun, fun from start to finish. I THINK I’m completely recovered! Have a great day,
Jay
